The latest changes at a glance:

 

Since January 1, 2011, revised Incoterms have been in force worldwide. Below is a summary of all the relevant information.

  • In the future there will be only 11 clauses instead of 13.
  • These 11 clauses have been divided into two categories:  
    •  Clauses for all types of transport: EXW, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAT, DAP, DDP
    • Clauses for sea and inland waterway transport: FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF
  • The Incoterms DAT and DAP replace the previous clauses DEQ, DAF, DES and DDU:
  • According to Incoterms 2010, the goods are considered to be delivered, under the terms FOB, CFR and CIF, as soon as it is on board the ship and not above the ship's rail as before.
  • According to the ICC, Incoterms can be used in both national and international purchase contracts.
